I’m Joel, a graphic designer and illustrator. I specialise in digital and print marketing design, packaging, trade-show stand design and graphics, motion design, website design, UI/UX design and illustration.
I live with my wife, our crazy toddler and two disgruntled cats. When we’re not trampling our way through the Peak District, I’m an insatiable hobbyist, always tinkering in my shed. I’ve recently tried my hand at jewellery making and metal casting, using my 3D printer to create pendants and rings I’ve sculpted for moulds. I also have a long-standing love of cooking, print-making, woodworking and photography.
My job is to make your brand shine through, attracting and retaining customers with visually striking designs, underpinned by a strong brand identity. Apart from creating instantly recognisable designs that tell the story of your business, my main focus is on creative problem solving and utilising my skillset to break down complex ideas into visually appealing and easily digestible information, conveying your brand to clients and customers.
Some big wins for me, and the most rewarding parts of my job, are seeing the results of my work in company sales and campaigns. At Gale Force 9, I have been creative lead for two successful crowd-funding marketing campaigns, raising $3.65M USD between the two. Our campaign across social media and Gamefound reached tens of thousands of people.
